London Transport

London Transport
London buses and the underground on most routes run from 5.00 to 00.30 and on Sunday from 7.30 to 23.30, then night buses run. The entire network is divided into zones - six for the metro and four bus zones. Their markings appear on buses, on metro maps, stops and stations. Persons who drive without a valid ticket face high penalties.
If you plan frequent use of public transport, you should consider buying a daily or weekly pass. Most of London's tourist attractions are in zones 1 and 2. Travelcard entitles you to use buses, subways and Docklands Light railways and certain British State Rail trains in London at 9.30 am on weekdays and any time during weekends and holidays. It is worth buying a Weekend Travelcard or Family Travelcard . Tickets outside of rush hour are cheaper. If you need to travel around London before 9.30, buy One Day LT Card.

All Travelcard types are available at metro stations, at London Travel Information offices and at railway stations on kiosks with the London Transport logo. If you want to buy a weekly or monthly pass, you must submit one photo. Children are entitled to discount tickets.
